Page 1 At Play !

At Page 1 Solutions we work hard. We take pride in achieving the best web designs, the clearest writing, the most effective SEO results, and the smoothest client communication. We have a growing collection of awards to prove it. But we also like to play. We are people who value having a fun job and working in a fun environment.

During our Work Days

Experts agree that working all day on a computer is stressful in at least two ways:

• Stagnate sitting, especially in a poor posture, can be detrimental to your heath over time and may lower creative thinking skills
• Eyestrain resulting from excessive computer use can cause sore, tired, and dry eyes.

So each day at about 3 pm, we hear Bill Fukui’s voice over the intercom:

“It’s time for your mandatory screen break. Come to the Think Tank for a snack if you’d like”.

Bill has made meatballs, cookies, fresh fruit salad, and lots of other tasty dishes. Bill is a great cook!

During the spring, summer, and fall, we go outdoors to munch, where we have a basketball hoop. You will hear people call out, “Go for it, Dan”, and “Pass that ball, Natalia!” and “Hey, isn’t that illegal??” Some of our quietest employees are transformed into wild sports players and fans.

During the lunch break, there’s lots to do including playing chess, playing on our Nintendo Wii, Foosball, or just visiting with co-workers.

Celebrations

Every year we have an Open House. We have had various themes, from a Carnival with crystal ball readings, to a putt-putt golf course sporting little lakes, bridges, and trees. We have also hosted a Luau, complete with hula dancers, authentic musicians and fantastic food.

The most popular event was probably the holiday Casino Night, complete with poker, blackjack, craps, and roulette. This event raised money for the Jeffco Action Center and the Second Wind Fund and we had such a great turnout that it will most likely become an annual event!

Every month we have a Birthday Lunch for all those who grew another year older that month. Page 1 provides the main course and volunteers bring in home-made salads and desserts. Every month is something different, from ordering pizza or Chinese to a taco/burrito bar. In nice weather we typically BBQ out back and feast on burgers and brats.

Many holidays are also celebrated here at Page 1 Solutions. From Christmas parties in the beautiful snowy mountains, to Secret-Spooking around Halloween time, we do our best to make this a fun place to work. Page 1 knows that happy employees are productive employees.

Page 1 Solutions’ Outings

About twice a year, Page 1 pays for a company outing. Every year we try to do something different. So far, we have had a picnic and horseback riding, bowling and pool at Lucky Strike, hikes in the Rocky Mountains, and softball games. We have even gone out and played paintball, which was a new experience for some of us but everyone had a lot of fun!
